There is a first time for everything.

This weekend was a success! We went to a festival, found a church, and Emad got to watch HOURS of football. On Saturday we went to the annual Oktoberfest in town. It was very fun! We watched a "German" band, cheered for dachshund races, and drank beer. What more could one ask for? Here are some videos to show how much fun it was...

We were also super happy to find a church that we like, so hopefully we will meet some new people soon. I am starting to really miss "home", so hopefully we can meet some people soon and this can start feeling like home.

On a final side note, here are a couple of "firsts" since moving to Lakeport:

1. I bought my first pair of jeans from Walmart.
2. I had to get special insurance for helicopter rides to the hospital (Out of pocket = $50-60,000 or Insurance = $100 a year).
3. Waiting for wild turkeys to cross the road.
4. Doing laundry in the tub because the Laundromat is too scary.
5. (To Be Continued)

  1. What an ADVENTURE Hannah! I hope all your time is this exciting! Okay, it might be nice to have a little down time, but this sounds like a great start!
